Phoenix Gp expands

Phoenix Group Global, promoted by a consortium of investors from West Asia, has announced the opening its second resort in Goa "" Country Inns & Suites "" through a franchise agreement with Carlson Hospitality.

The Group has invested Rs 100 crore on the property near Benaulim Beach in South Goa. The five-star hotel has been designed on Portuguese village life theme, according to a press release from Phoenix Group.

The Bangalore-headquartered group also unveiled the new-look Radisson White Sands Resort, Goa.

Launched in 2002, the resort recently underwent a refurbishment at an overall investment of Rs 20 crore. It operates another resort ""- Radisson Plaza & Resort at Kumarakom in Kerala.

The Phoenix Group is also developing business hotels in other parts of the country. It has commenced construction on a 5-star business hotel project in Bangalore's Whitefield area.

The group has procured land adjacent to the upcoming Bangalore International Airport at Devanahalli to develop another property.

The group is presently in final stages of procuring sites for business hotels in Chennai and Hyderabad, the press release said. It also intends to venture into other cities such as Kochi, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
