Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) has appointed Pradeep Hejmadi as the Business Head of its flagship general Hindi entertainment channel Zee TV, the company said today.
Hejmadi's appointment is with effect from July 1, 2014, the Essel group firm ZEEL said in a statement.
He would be responsible for the overall functioning of the channels and report to ZEEL Chief Content and Creative Officer Bharat Ranga, it said.
Commenting on the development, ZEEL MD & CEO Punit Goenka said: "We would like to welcome Pradeep into the ZEE family. With multi-dimensional understanding of the Indian media industry, he has spearheaded and successfully launched, innovative and first-in-class profit-bearing initiatives in the Indian media marketplace".
Hejmadi, who has over 18 years of experience in the media industry was earlier with TAM Media Research as Senior Vice President - Strategy Group & Marketing.
A graduate from Mumbai University, Hejmadi has also worked with leading media houses as MTV Networks, Turner International, Discovery Communications India, J Walter Thompson and The Times Of India.
