Reliance Infra top bidder to develop 5 airports in Maharashtra

Anil Ambani Group company Reliance Infrastructure today said it has emerged as the highest bidder to develop and operate five non-metro airports in Maharashtra.

Speaking at the 80th annual general meeting of the company here today, Chairman Anil Ambani told shareholders that the company has emerged as the highest bidder to develop and operate airports at Nanded, Latur, Yavatmal, Baramati and Osmanabad.

He said the company has also been shortlisted to bid for several other non-metro airports in the country.

The Centre has set a target of modernising 35 non-metro airports in the country through public-private partnership.

Ambani said the company was keen to pursue projects for international airports at Navi Mumbai, Pune and Goa as well.
