RINL plans auto parts, forgings SEZ

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam (RINL) is planning to set up an auto components and forgings Special Economic Zone (SEZ) near its steel plant at Visakhapatnam.

The company is likely to float an special purpose vehicle (SPV) with a real estate developer for the purpose.

"The company has written to the state government for 2,500 acres of land and once the proposal is cleared, it will be placed before the board for approval," Y S Sagar Rao, chairman and MD of RINL, said.
