Royal Classic in expansion

The Royal Classic Group, the Rs 225-crore apparel maker, is on an expansion drive down south.

The group, which has 37 stores at present, plans to set up another 63 outlets, targeting 100 stores by December this year. Of the 63, Karnataka alone will have 30 outlets, while the rest will be spread over Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

"The retail chain will be run on a franchisee basis. Royal Classic will meet the establishment costs, including the salaries and others, apart from training the entrepreneurs. The franchisee will only need to run the business profitably, to earn commissions and incentives," said R Sivaram, executive director, Royal Classic Group.
