Rs 2,000 Crore Reliance Deal With Lucent

In one of the biggest deals in the country, Reliance Infocom has placed an order for over 5 million CDMA (code division multiple access) lines with US equipment manufacturer Lucent Technologies for offering WLL limited mobility services. Though the exact deal amount is not known, sources close to the deal estimate to be worth Rs 500 crore over a two year period.
