Shoppers' Stop to have Mothercare stores

| Shoppers' Stop which has bagged the franchisee agreement with Mothercare of UK to operate Mothercare stores in India, is scouting for retail space in major cities for standalone stores. |
| Also as part of Mothercare's India strategy, Shopper's Stop plans to open 40 stores comprising shop-in-shop, shops in departmental stores as well as standalone high street and mall stores in five years. |
| "The company has taken the decision to set up standalone stores in addition to Shoppers' Stop large format retail stores," said Rajiv Nair, customer care associate and business head, Mothercare in India. |
| The company in Bangalore is scouting for space to set up more standalone stores and is on the look out for 5,000 square feet of space in major high-street and shopping centers, he added. |
| Mothercare in India is been serviced as part of the speciality division of Shoppers' Stop. The Shoppers' Stop in addition to Mothercare has Crossword, and MAC in its portfolio. |
| Shopper's Stop launched its first store of Mothercare in Bangalore at Shopper's Stop store on Bannerghatta Road. |
