Suzuki opens outlet in Ahmedabad, launches Heat

With high expectations from Gujarat, Suzuki Motorcycle, a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, announced the launch of its dealership in Ahmedabad and initiated sales of its new two-wheeler "" Heat. For Suzuki, Gujarat is a booming state where customers are sharp on buying a two-wheeler.
 
Gujarat is the most active market in the country for two-wheelers, said Satya Sheel, MD, Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL). The company has presence in more than 35 cities and towns of the state including the new showroom in Ahmedabad.
 
Heat is the first bike under the brand of Suzuki Motorcycle, after the tie up of Suzuki Motor Corporation with SMIPL, said Sheel. Heat, a 125cc bike, is available in three colours red, black and blue and is targeted towards excessive bike users who want strong robust and reliable product.
 
"It gives mileage of around 60-65 kmpl and has five gears," said Sheel.
 
Further, he said by May, the company will launch yet another two-wheeler "" Zeus, again a 125cc bike targeted towards the younger generation, who want contemporary styling clubbed with excellent performance.
 
"Both models, Heat and Zeus, have been manufactured in India except certain parts which have been imported directly from Suzuki Japan," said Sheel.
 
According to him, the new bikes have been developed after extensive market research and it will reinforce the commitment and support from the parent company Suzuki Motor in Japan.
 
"The company entered in India in 1983 and since than we were working on a product which will suit the purchasing capacity as well as the Indian roads," Sheel added.
 
Sheel said, "We will also produce scooters focusing Indian women and are also looking for bikes towards higher end."
