Swati Group to expand

Gujarat-based Swati Group, manufacturer of switchgear, has launched its new diversified unit to cater the requirement of medium voltage segment for manufacturing panels.
 
On Sunday the company commissioned its new diversified unit - High Volt Power and Control Systems Pvt Ltd - that will manufacture panels from 3.3 Kv to 33 Kv voltage system for the medium voltage segment. The company received technical support from ABB Ltd for its new venture.
 
Swati Group already manufactures all kinds of LT Panels like PCC, MCC Relay and Control Panels, Auto synchronising panels with SCADA systems and MV panels.
 
Vikram Shah, director of Swati group, said, "We are witnessing an exciting growth phase in the industry today. To cater to the phenomenal and ever-increasing demand of MV Panels we have decided to expand into larger and dedicated manufacturing facilities."
 
He further mentioned that over the years the company have established strong alliances with ABB and considering the targeted annual GDP growth of approximately 8 - 8.5 per cent, huge capacity additions has been planned by the year 2010.
 
The company also plans to enter the export markets of West Asia, South East Asia and East African countries and set up new marketing offices by March 2008. The company plans to finalise technology provider for entering EPC for medium scale power plants (up to 15 Mw) by December 2007. While by June 2008, the company plans to commence power transformer manufacturing facility (up to 2,500 KVA).
 
The group also plans to reinforce it's present interest in agriculture business with enhanced capacities and enter new areas of bio-tech and organic farming.
 
The group had clocked a turnover of Rs 35 crore in the last financial year. It plans to achieve 300 percent growth rate by the year 2010.
