Tata Capital appoints Shailendra Bhandari as head private equity business

Tata Capital Ltd, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Tata Sons has announced the appointment of Shailendra Bhandari to head Tata Capital’s private equity business. 

Private Equity is one of the key business verticals identified by Tata Capital as a part of its growth strategy.

Bhandari has over three decades of rich experience in the financial services sector. He is the former managing director and CEO of Centurion Bank of Punjab Ltd, one of the leading new generation private sector banks in India and played a vital role in shaping the organic and inorganic growth of the bank.

A former manager with the Tata Administrative Services (TAS) (1980), Bhandari has held leadership positions with several blue-chip companies including, Citibank (1982), HDFC Bank (1994) and ICICI Prudential Asset Management Company where he was the CEO (2000).
