TIL sales up 21 per cent
 
City-based heavy equipment company TIL has reported a 21 per cent rise in sales at Rs 131 crore and 83 per cent rise in profit-after-tax at Rs 3.95 crore in the first quarter ended June 30 compared with sales and profit in the first quarter of financial year 2006-07.
 
Balrampur net loss at Rs 47.31 cr
 
Balrampur Chini Mills has recorded a net loss of Rs 47.31 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with a net profit of Rs 65.43 crore in the same period last year. Loss before tax was at Rs 55.90 crore against a profit before tax of Rs 83.65 crore. .
 
JK Paper net up 29.8 per cent
 
JK Paper, the country's leading paper producer, has posted 29.8 per cent increase in net profit for the year ended June 30 due to firmness in paper prices.
 
Panacea Bio net dips 5.5%
 
City-based Panacea Biotec has registered a 5.5 per cent decline in its net profit to Rs 47.2 crore during the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 49.8 crore in the corresponding period last year.
