Trivitron Healthcare has announced its alliance with Johnson Medical, Sweden, to manufacture high-end and mobile modular operation theatres (OTs) and pendants. Through this tie up, Johnson Trivitron will manufacture modular OTs and pendants by setting up its manufacturing facility at Trivitron medical technology park, near here.
Englam Yeo, managing director, Johnson Medical (Singapore office), said, “With India becoming an important destination for healthcare, matching its infrastructure and technology with those in UK, Europe and USA, we decided to expand our operations by setting up a manufacturing facility in India.”
This would be the first facility in India for manufacture of modular OTs, mobile OTs and pendants and production is expected to commence by the end of 2010, she added. This alliance, besides catering to the domestic market, would be a hub for exports to other emerging markets of the world.
Specifically, Johnson Trivitron is in the process of finalising manufacture of mobile OTs to cater to the vast Indian geography and serve the emergency healthcare needs in disaster situations, she added.
