Unitech net profit up 15.7% at Rs 423.3 cr

India's second-largest property developer Unitech posted an increase of 15.7 per cent in its touching Rs 423.31 crore in the first quarter ended 30 June, 2008. In the corresponding quarter last financial year, the profit was at Rs 365.67 crore. For the same period, the total income rose by 17.19 per cent year on year, from Rs 899.67 crore to Rs 1054.37 crore.

Sequentially, the company registered 17.49 per cent rise in net profits but its total income declined by 11.9 per cent.
