Vadilal MD Devanshu Gandhi elected CII Gujarat chairman

Bhagwati Filters MD Reena Bhagwati has been elected as vice-chairperson to the council

Devanshu Gandhi, managing director of ice-cream player Vadilal Industries Ltd has been elected as the chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Gujarat State Council for the year 2015-16 while Reena Bhagwati, managing director, Bhagwati Filters Pvt. Ltd was elected as vice-chairperson to the CII state council.

In 2015-16, CII Gujarat, will focus on promoting robust infrastructure for enabling industrial growth, increasing industrial efficiency through skill development - thus creating more employment opportunities,research, and promotion of technology, technology transfers etc. to lay a greater emphasis for attracting investments to the state, a statement here claimed.

Gandhi said, "Our objective for this year is to promote industry in Gujarat, to build a competitive edge and facilitate an overall atmosphere for ease of doing business."
 

He further added that CII Gujarat, in line with the theme for the year, we shall continuously engage with all stakeholders to aggressively pursue the agenda of "Make in Gujarat" added Bhagawati.
