Zydus Wellness appoints Elkana Ezekiel as CEO

Healthcare firm Zydus Wellness today said it has appointed Elkana Ezekiel as CEO of the company, following the resignation of Anand G Deo as Managing Director.

Anand G Deo has resigned as the Managing Director and as a director of the company with immediate effect, Zydus Wellness said in a filing to the BSE.

"The company has appointed Elkana Ezekiel to spearhead the operations of the company as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and after all formalities, will take over as the Managing Director of the company," it added.

Prior to his joining Zydus Wellness, Ezekiel was the Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung India. He has also worked with various other companies including Johnson & Johnson, Colgate Palmolive and Geoffrey Manners.

The company added that Anand G Deo will move to lead the newly created Pharma OTC business division of the Zydus Group.

Shares of Zydus Wellness today closed at Rs 386.20 on the BSE, up 1.10% from previous close.
