Charges framed against eight accused in the Kamduni gang rape case

A city court today framed charges against eight accused in the gang rape and subsequent death of a college girl at Kamduni on June seven, which had led to a public outrage in West Bengal.Additional sessions judge at Bankshall Court, Sanchita Sarkar framed charges against the eight accused who were arrested following the heinous crime.

One of the accused is still absconding.Charges were framed under sections 376-A (causing injury during the course of rape that leads to death),120-B (criminal conspiracy), 342 (wrongfully confining a person) and 109 (abaitment) of IPC).
