Samaj Parivartan Samudaya convener and founder of NCPNR S R Hiremath has come down heavily on the high-level committee constituted by the government to prepare a plan of action on the second report of the Lokayukta.
He told reporters here on Friday, a committee headed by former additional chief secretary K Jairaj, and other retired senior IAS officials Meera Saxena, Subhir Harisingh and Shamim Banu has been constituted to prepare a plan of action on the second report of the then Lokayukta Santosh Hegde was just an eyewash.
He said, the committee has left out several names including many IAS and IFS officials who helped the illegal miners loot natural resources. Hence, a more credible exercise into the issues of top officials should be given to the CBI, he demanded.
On minister Santosh Lad, Hiremath said, Sonia Gandhi should be told about Lad and they would be urged to take action against him, Hiremath added.
