With heavy rains continuing to pound Uttarakhand, landslides and cloudbursts are striking terror in the hill state.
In the early hours of Thursday, two children and three women were killed in their sleep when their houses were washed away by flashfloods triggered by a cloudburst at Netar village in Tehri district.
The floods also flattened nearly a dozen houses in the village.

One person, who was seriously injured, has been rushed to a hospital.
Senior district administration and police officials have rushed to the spot to take a stock of the situation and launch rescue and relief operation.
Chief Minister Harish Rawat has expressed his grief over the tragic incident and asked the district administration to provide immediate relief to the affected people.
In a similar incident, one person was killed after being hit by a boulder at Bhatwari area of Uttarkashi district on Thursday.
On Sunday, five people were killed when they were buried in heavy landslides at Pangla village in the Pithoragarh district.
