Lieutenant General A K Bhaat appointed as next DGMO

The Cabinet's appointment committee approved the appointment of Lieut-Gen Bhatt of the 9 Gorkha Rifles

Lieutenant General A K Bhatt was appointed as the next Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) on Monday replacing Lieutenant General Ranbir Singh.

The Cabinet's appointment committee approved the appointment of Lieutenant General Bhatt of the 9 Gorkha Rifles.

Meanwhile, Lieutenant General Singh has been posted as the General Officer Commanding, 1 Corps.

Lieutenant General Singh is an awardee of the Yudh Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal (AVSM) and the Sena Medal.
