Petrol price hiked by 70 paise per litre, diesel by 50 paise

Petrol and diesel will cost 70 and 50 paise more per litre, excluding taxes, from midnight Wednesday, state-run Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) announced.
It said the depreciation of the rupee and hardening of crude prices in the international market had necessitated the hike.
