84 firms to participate in apparel tech show

As many as 84 companies will participate in the fourth edition of the 'Zak Garmentech South 2006', an apparel technology trade show scheduled to be held in Bangalore from June 1 to June 4 in Bangalore.

Zak Tradefairs and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd managing director Syed Zakir Ahmed told a press conference here on Tuesday that leading players in sewing, embroidery, CAD/CAM, finishing, laundry and garment accessories will participate in the show.

Apparel machinery from China, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, UK, France, USA, Germany and Turkey will be on display at the trade show.

"In all, nearly 200 brands will showcase their products. The show provides an opportunity to discover and exploit the business potential of the South Indian market," he added.

'Garmentech Conclave', a seminar on the latest trends in apparel technology, will also be a part of the trade show to be held at the Palace Grounds.

Representatives of Thermax India Limited, ICICI Small and Medium Enterprises Group and Ramsons Garment Equipment, Beacon Business Systems, Coats India, Reach Technologies, Technik India, Assyst Bullmer and Aster Technologies will address the seminar.
