Acharya in ICSI council

The election to the central council of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the term 2004-2006 was held on December 8.

There are 495 members from Ahmedabad in the western Indian regional constituency.

Bipin S Acharya of Ahmedabad has been elected from the western Indian regional constituency to the central council.

S D Israni, Mahesh Anant Athavale and R Narayanan are the other candidates who have been elected from the western Indian regional constituency.

H M Choraria and Amitkumar Sen have been elected from the eastern Indian regional constituency. Preeti Malhotra, Nesar Ahmad and Pradeep Mittal won from northern Indian seat.
