The government today partly relaxed the ban on cement exports, which was imposed on April 11 this year to improve the availability of the commodity in the country.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>A notification by Directorate General of Foreign Trade today said that export of cement will be allowed form ports based in Gujarat.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Commerce Secretary Gopal Pillai said that export of two million tonnes of cement will be allowed&nbsp; from ports in Gujarat. </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>&#34With the Monsoons approaching, there will be a slow down in the demand of cement in the country and hence the part relaxation on the export ban,&#34 Pillai said on the sidelines of a Ficci seminar.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
