Cii D-G Tarun Das Calls On Chief Minister

Tarun Das, the director-general of CII, today called on chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and discussed the investment promotion plans and programmes for Andhra Pradesh.

Das briefed the chief minister on the success of the CII Partnership Summit 2003 and future course of action. The ninth summit, second in three years, had paved way for an unique model of private-public partnership.

As a follow-up to the summit, the confederation would form an advisory committee that would facilitate flow of investments in the state both domestic and foreign. Women empowerment and marketing strategy for the Development of Women and Children in Rural Areas (Dwcra) also figured in the discussions, a CII press release stated here.

 

Das also called on K Vidyadher Rao, the minister for major industries, and held discussions on the industrial climate, labour reforms, simplified procedures, single window clearance of new projects and future prospects of the industry in the state.
