As a precautionary move against rising inflation, the government has raised the minimum export price (MEP) of onion by $25 a tonne to $185 with effect from July.

</p><p class='TableClas'>However, with retail onion prices rising from Rs 6 to Rs 10 a kg in June, a decision has been taken to raise the MEP again. </P>
