Hooda revises floor rates, to amend R&R policy

The Haryana cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today, decided to amend its Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Policy 2010.
It was decided to fix floor rate of Rs 25 lakh per acre for area situated within the final development plan of Faridabad-Ballabhgarh controlled areas and the areas situated within the area of development plans of Bahadurgarh, Rohtak, Rewari, Dharuhera, Bawal and Panipat towns, excluding the areas forming part of the notified limits of Faridabad municipal corporation.
A floor rate of Rs 16 lakh per acre has been fixed for land situated within the development plans of towns other than the district headquarters outside the National Capital Region.
The Cabinet further revised the eligibility of allotment of industrial plots in lieu of acquisition of land.
Earlier, irrespective of the area acquired, the oustee was eligible for an industrial plot of 450 square metres.
Under the revised provisions, the size of the industrial plot to be allotted has been linked with the area acquired, whereby for an area acquired between one to two acres, the industrial plot to be allotted shall be 450 square metres, for two to four acres, 800 square metres and for above four acres, 1000 square metres.
The amendments will be applicable with effect from the date the Rehabilitation and Resettlement Policy came into force, that is, September 7 last year.
