How 7th Pay Commission travelled 'seven seas' for its recommendations

The Justice Mathur-led panel spent 94 days traversing the length and breadth of the country, apart from Australia and New Zealand, to meet stakeholders and expert groups

The Seventh Central Pay Commission spent 94 days or close to a quarter of its working days meeting various stakeholders and expert groups. The Justice Ashok Mathur headed panel went to different parts of the country from Shillong and Guwahati to Mumbai, Port Blair and Shimla. It even went Down Under to study best practices in government organisations in Australia and New Zealand. Business Standard takes a look at where it went and whom it met:
