Ias Officer Charges Up Colleagues With Corruption

A senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Uttar Pradesh, Neera Yadav, has accused several of her senior colleagues of being involved in a number of multi-crore scams.
Yadav, a former chairperson of the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (Noida), who is said to be under Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) scrutiny for alleged irregularities, said yesterday that casteist and communal elements within the IAS cadre were hostile to her position as she came from a backward caste.
CBI director Joginder Singh has reportedly written to Governor Romesh Bhandari about alleged irregularities by her, suggesting that these could be substantiated only by scrutiny of Noida documents and records.

Reacting to this, Yadav demanded a high-level inquiry into misdeeds of some of her IAS colleagues involved in a number of scams.
She admitted that her daughter had been studying in the United Kingdom (UK) for the past six years, but said that all her expenses were being met by her uncle, who was a British national.
She said that two sons of another senior IAS officer of the state were also studying in the UK and he ought to explain how their expenses were being met.
