London Chamber invites Indian businessmen

London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) has shown interests in Indian market.
Craig Pym, acting head of LCCI said, "LCCI would provide all possible assistance and business information to Indians visiting the chamber in London".
He also invited Indian businessmen to London and urged them to invest in his country.
Pym is leading a four-member business mission to India exploring the business opportunities in the country. He was addressing a meeting at Indian Merchants' Chamber (IMC).
Nayan Patel, president, IMC, said that Indo-British Partnership Initiative (IBP) set up in 1993 lent a major thrust to maximise the trade and investment opportunities between the two countries. IMC will hold a Business Summit in London in association with LCCI in October.
Patel said UK is the most preferred location for investment by Indians.
The Indo-British two way trade in 2004-05 stood at $7 billion.
Committing of 10 million pound sterling to the UK-India Education and Research Initiative by Prime Minister Blair last year has helped in reinforcing the growing ties between the two countries.
"A study by London Chamber has shown that the net worth of top 40 business companies of India was four times higher than the net worth of top 40 companies in China.
"India has also emerged as a major global force in the IT sector. It is for this reason that London Chamber is focusing its attention more on India," said Pym.
