Madhya Pradesh's IT mission fails to click

Though development of the IT sector in Madhya Pradesh may be the talk of the town, reality is something else.
The main reasons are poor infrastructure and the lack of facilities and support from the state government. As a result, prominent companies choose Noida and Hyderabad over the state.
Though the IT firms are keen on developing Indore, lack of software professionals as well as outsiders preferring other cities over Indore have added to the woes of the IT firms. Professionals from outside do not have a good perception about the city.
According to them, the city lacks many facilities such as entertainment avenues, good roads (free from dust and mud), pollution-free environment and the like.
This is despite IT firms offering good salary packages, which is in keeping with the demand. The professionals are not interested to settle in the city due to poor infrastructure, though the main roads of the city are far better than before. The approach roads to the offices, as well as their locations do not attract the professionals.
On the other hand, the state is hoping to invite big investors, and in the process, has neglected the small-scale units in the policy.
Differences in opinions of the politicians concerned with the ruling party in the state, as well as the upgradation of the city's status, is responsible to deprive the city from the success. Political leaders must bear in minds that differences in opinions will hinder the beautification process of the city.
However, the bullish trend in the global software market, as well as the success achieved by the Indian IT firms in completing other big units, high demand of computer-professionals have pushed the IT specialist to new peaks of development.
