Moderate earthquake hits India-Myanmar border

A moderate earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale today hit the border region between India and Myanmar, Met department said here.

The tremor that occurred at 1:21 am was centred 96 kms east-southeast of Imphal, Met officials said.

There were no immediate reports of damage or causality, they said.
