Mumbai Treatment Plants Fail To Effectively Tackle Sewage Menace

Less than 25 per cent of the waste, including hazardous bio-medical waste generated daily by hospitals in Mumbai, is treated by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) before it is released into the sea.
