Nashik ready for a run

The city is all geared up once again for the 6th mega event 'Nashik Run: 2008' being held on January 12.
 
The event, which will have around 16,000 participants, is expected to collect Rs 75 lakh as charity amount.
 
'Nashik Run' is held every year on the second Saturday of January by the Nashik Run Charitable Trust (NRCT), founded by three major companies- Motor Industries Co Ltd (Mico), EPCOS India and Thyssenkrupp "" to help the deprived sections of society.
 
"Funds are collected through donations and sponsorships from various corporate and participants who register for the run. The amount collected is directed towards funding and promoting various important and deserving social projects," said Subbu Hegde, chairman, Nashik Run Charitable Trust ,and vice-president (Commercial), Mico.
