Nasscom Sees Reverse Flow Of Infotech Workers

It is going to be tough for the IT professional to bag a lucrative overseas assignment in the years to come. According to a recent National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nass-com) report, while the number of IT professionals leaving Indian shores will fall to a third over the next three years, the number of professionals returning to India will increase by half.

As per the Nasscom report, the number of IT professionals leaving India for on-site work abroad will come down from 64,350 in 2001-02 to 21,450 in 2004-05. At the same time, the number of professionals returning to India will rise from 20,109 in 2002-03 to 24,131 in 2003-04 and to 29,250 in 2004-05.
