Naveen seeks extension of NAIS scheme deadline

Worried over the uneven monsoon, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has shot off a letter to Sharad Pawar, Union minister of agriculture, urging him to extend the cut off date for applying insurance coverage under the National Agriculture Insurance Scheme (NAIS) from August 14 to August 31, 2012.
