Negotiated Settlement For Idbi, Ifci Dues On Cards

Maharashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said that a negotiated settlement would be worked out with Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI) and IFCI to clear the state government-backed outstandings defaulted upon by sugar factories and spinning mills in the co-operative sector.

He added that a special cell would be formed to take stock of the total outstandings owed to financial institutions by the co-operative sector.
