New industries in Jharkhand to aquire plots from closed unit areas

Jharkhand government has decided to allot plots to new industrial entrepreneurs at a fixed price in the premises of closed / sick industrial units under Industrial Area Development Authorities with the provision of state’s new Industrial Policy, 2012.
A good number of industrial units which were provided plots to micro, small and medium enterprises to set up industrial units at the allotted plots made by the Industrial Area Development Authorities of Ranchi, Bokaro, Adityapur and Dumka, which are either suffering losses, ailing and closed many now easily transfer their assets to the management of a new unit after clearing all liabilities.State industry secretary A P Singh said closed and sick industrial units stood on the allocated plots of different Industrial Area Development Authorities, could now partially solve land crisis faced by prospective investors. Jharkhand Small Industries Association vice-president Sharad Poddar welcomed the move of the state industry department.
