PSU banks donate for relief

| The Union Bank of India has contributed Rs 2 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for relief work in the tsunami-affected areas. |
| Punjab National Bank also said it was taking steps to provide financial assistance and relief measures for industrial units, agriculturists, traders and others affected by the tsunami. |
| It has also decided to donate Rs 5 crore to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund In addition, all PNB employees have decided to contribute a day's salary to the fund. |
