The members of the SCO summit, that the North Korea's threatening demarches are unacceptable, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev told reporters after the meeting with the member states.
"We have discussed other regional problems, also problems of North Korea, including some of its latest threatening statements. We have certainly noted that this kind of conduct in the present situation is unacceptable," Medvedev said yesterday.
The Russian President said that the potential of the SCO states were discussed in the current global economic scenario and stressed on the need to develop a new system of global financial security.
Medvedev also dwelt on "humanitarian cooperation - cooperation in education, culture and youth ties."
"A great deal is being done in this sphere," he said, adding, "We must found a special university of the SCO, a youth council will be established...Vigorous work will continue on matters of the health services with the emphasis on grievous diseases, infectious diseases, and response to contemporary challenges in the area, including epidemics and pandemics," he said.
