The Pioneer to launch Hindi edition in Raipur

Delhi-based newspaper The Pioneer is planning to launch its Hindi edition from the National Capital.
“We had launched the Hindi edition from Lucknow and would soon launch another Hindi edition from New Delhi,” Chandan Mitra, editor-in-chief of The Pioneer said here on Sunday at a function organised to launch newspaper’s new edition from the Chhattisgarh’s capital city.
The National English daily had launched its Hindi version of the newspaper from Lucknow on October 17, 2010.
He however did not speak much about the plan but hinted that the Hindi version of The Pioneer would be in the stalls soon. The company officials said that the preparation for the New Delhi edition of Hindi Pioneer had started.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani Sunday formally launched the Raipur edition of The Pioneer. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh was also present on the occasion.
This would be the eight edition of The Pioneer from Raipur. The newspaper at present has editions from Delhi, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Dehradun and Ranchi. It could not be known what would be the print run of the paper in the Raipur market.
The publication has adopted a franchisee business model in Raipur.
