VTU warns colleges

The Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belgaum, has warned engineering colleges under its purview against advancing the commencement of the term of first semester of BE/B Tech/B Arch/MBA and MCA.

The VTU has prescribed September 3, for commencement of the term. The date is fixed based on the casual vacancy round of counselling.

"If the commencement of the term is advanced justice can not be given to the students to make a choice of college/course of their interest" VTU said.

Hence colleges affiliated to VTU have been directed to adhere to terms and vacations notification issued by the varsity. Any violation of the instruction shall be viewed seriously, the VTU said.
