The Congress High Command today has decided to interchange the constituencies of P C Chacko and KP Dhanapalan, the two sitting MPs of the party.<br />

The Congress list for Kerala has dropped two sitting MPs, PT Thomas (Idukki) and Peethamabra Kurup (Kollam).

Congress High Command today decidedto interchange the constituencies of P.C. Chacko and K.P. Dhanapalan, twositting MPs of the party. Accordingly,  Chacko take on Movie Actor, Innocent atChalakkudi, while Dhanapalan will contest from Thrissur. The Congress list for Kerala hasdropped two sitting MPs, P.T. Thomas [Idukki] and Peethamabra Kurup [Kollam].There will be four new faces in the list, T.Siddque from Kasargode, K.A. Sheeba[Alathur], Dean Kuriakose [Idukki] and Bindu Krishna from Attingal. Chacko was adamant on gettingChalakkudi as he is not acceptable to a very large section of the Congressworkers in Thrissur,  especially Ifaction, lead by Home minister Ramesh Chennithala.So he wanted to shift toChalakkudi, which is rather 'safe' for him.
