TRS chief, nephew surge ahead; TDP-BJP leading in Telangana

In signs of happy tidings for his family, TRS supremo K Chandrasekhar Rao is leading in Gajwel Assembly seat by more than 10,000 votes and his nephew T Harish Rao is ahead by about 30,000 votes in Siddipet.

KCR's son K Taraka Rama Rao has already won from Sircilla Assembly seat in Karimnagar district.

The Congress' hopes to come to power seem to have been dashed with the party leading in only about 20 seats. TDP-BJP combine is ahead in 24 segments.

As per the latest trends available, former ministers Ponnala Lakshmaiah (also president of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee) (Jangaon), Deputy Chief Minister C Damodar Raj Narasimha (Andole), J Geetha Reddy (Zaheerabad), D Sridhar Babu (Manthani), V Sunitha Laxma Reddy (Narasapur), Danam Nagendra (Khairatabad), Mukesh Goud (Goshamahal) and B Saraiah (Warangal East) are trailing, adding to the woes of Congress.
 

National Disaster Management Authority Vice Chairman Marri Sashidhar Reddy of the Congress (Sanatnagar) and actor-turned politician Vijayashanthi (Medak) are also trailing.

BJP Telangana president G Kishan Reddy (Amberpet) is leading.
