While stating this Anil Kumar, Zonal Head of the Bank said in a release issued here, "the Bank will be opening 16 more branches in Punjab by October this year, licenses for which have already been received from Reserve Bank of India."
Kumar said business of Ludhiana Zone has also reached Rs 4,500 crore as on June 30.
He further said Core Banking Solutions in 15 branches of the bank in Punjab have been introduced.
He said that specially designed schemes for the farming schemes of Punjab like Kissan Mangal Yojana and White Card Scheme for dairy development have evoked a big response in Punjab thereby encouraging the farmers for diversification in agriculture to augment their income.
