Ashok Leyland FY05 net up 40%

Ashok Leyland today reported a 40% increase in net profit at Rs 271.41 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 193.58 crore in FY04.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 4,236.13 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 3,410.64 crore in FY04.

The board has recommended a dividend of 100% i.e. Re 1 per share for FY05, the release added.
