Forex reserves up $921mn to $143.10bn

| Foreign exchange reserves increased $921 million to $143.098 billion during the week ended December 2, 2005, according to the weekly statistical supplement released by the RBI on Friday. Foreign currency assets increased $936 million to $136.935 billion. While gold reserves moved up $61 million to $4.925 billion, SDRs were unchanged at $4 million. The reserve tranche position with the IMF declined $76 million to $1.234 billion. |
