 The Udupi division of the LIC launched satellite office here today. The satellite offices are attached to the respective parent branches and are extensions of parent branches to give better services nearest to policyholders, Uma Rao, Senior Divisional Manager, Udupi Division, told reporters here today.

</p><p class='TableClas'>The branch opened here today is the fourth in the Division, which is attached to Mangalore-I Branch and LIC is planning two more satellite offices shortly in Byndoor in Udupi and another at Sullia in Dakshina Kannada districts respectively, she added.
</p><p class='TableClas'>The Division which has twenty lakh policy holders has issued over three lakh policies, collected Rs 313 crore premium and has settled claims worth Rs 171.53 crore amount she informed. </P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
