V S Krishnakumar appointed as third ED at Canara Bank

The government has appointed V S Krishnakumar as the third executive director (ED) of Canara Bank.

Earlier he was general manager with Allahabad Bank.

Other two EDs in Canara Bank are Archana Bhargava and Ashok Kumar Gupta.

Earlier government had decided to appoint third executive director to exclusively look after human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) departments.

Government has already appointed third ED in other big lenders like Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank and Bank of India. Union Bank of India and Central Bank of India are expected to get third ED soon.
