Bangalore-based public sector lender, Vijaya Bank is planning to expand its corporate branch network in the country by opening three corporate banking branches in Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai during the current year.
The bank already has three such branches at Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, exclusively catering to all the banking needs of corporate clients under one roof. The bank opened the new premises of its corporate banking branch in Mumbai at Cuffe Parade. Albert Tauro, chairman and managing director, Vijaya Bank said: “We have got pan India presence with 1,190 branches and 521 ATMs spread across the country. The total business of the Bank is around Rs 113,000 crore with a net profit in excess of Rs 500 crore during the last fiscal.”
In Maharashtra, the Bank has 99 branches, of which 65 are in Mumbai. The Bank also inaugurated its exclusive Retail Assets Centralised Processing Cell (RACPC) at Andheri, Mumbai on Friday. This unit will focus exclusively on the appraisal of retail loans, independent of loan originating branches, for a quick and qualitative handling of retail loan proposals.
