Skill Development Service Cadre
The Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Shri Rajiv Pratap Rudy has said that Cabinet has approved the formation of Group A Service titled Indian Skill Development Service comprising of 263 posts including 3 posts at Senior Administrative Grade level, 28 posts at Junior Administrative Grade Level, 120 posts at Senior Time Scale Level and 112 posts at Junior Time Scale level. 50% of the officers in the Junior Time Scale are to be sourced through the Indian Engineering Service Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). In a written reply in the Lok Sabha today the Minister said,An additional expenditure of Rs. 33, 64,578/- per annum is involved as the service is to be established from the already existing cadre. The officers of the proposed cadre are to be deployed in Directorate General of Training (Headquarters) and its various field formations spread all across the Country.
